I and our entire Ozawa Cup Team would like to send our warmest greetings for a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!

In 1999, I took on the responsibility and the obligation or "giri" as known in Japan, of hosting this tournament to honor our beloved teacher, Shihan Osamu Ozawa and to continue his legacy after his passing just a few days after he hosted the tournament one last time in 1998.

It has been a wonderful journey that has enabled me to meet and make friends with so many people from around the world. I am eternally grateful to all of you who have supported our tournament these many years.

After 24 years, I believe that I have fulfilled my obligation to my teacher so I'd like to let you all know that this is the last year that I will host the Ozawa Cup. I hope that you will come join us one final time here in Las Vegas and make it the best and largest Ozawa Cup ever.
