KATA & KOBUDO RULES
The Tournament Director reserves the right to combine and/or divide divisions where he sees fit. |
KATA RULES 1. Contestants must perform a Japanese or Okinawan kata. 2. Beginner and Intermediate Belts must perform basic kata such as: Heian, Pinan, Gekisai, and any other similarly categorized kata. 3. Saifa is okay for beginner and intermediate Goju practitioners. 4. Brown Belts and Black Belts may perform any kata. 5. If there are five scores, the highest and lowest score is eliminated. Total Score is the sum of the three remaining scores. 6. In case of a tie:
